Summary:
Energy Transfer is looking for an experienced Leak Detection specialist to assist with the maintenance expansion and support of its Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) system. Responsibilities of the position will include but not limited to the utilization of third-party software applications that uses a statistical or compensated volume balance to model the system and provide leak detection rupture batch tracking and hydraulics analysis of liquids pipelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Configure tune and maintain statistical and/or compensated volume balance leak detection system for liquid pipelines
Other duties as required
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or Technical Degree with relevant work experience
Attend conferences and workshops concerning leak detection and SCADA
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
Preferred Skills
The following skills would be considered as a plus.
Advanced Data Management/Data Analytics
ITIL Foundation certification
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Occasional weekend work may be required
Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
