At Collins Aerospace Simulation and Training Solutions (STS)division we deliver cutting-edge training solutions across the full training lifecyclefrom instructional systems design to high-fidelity simulators. Our portfolio includes advanced visual simulation software image generators synthetic environments display systems and full-flight simulator components. These tools support training for commercial airline pilots military aviators and tactical helicopter operators.

Were seeking a Synthetic Environment Developer to create high-quality 3D content for immersive training environments. Youll play a key role in building realistic standards-compliant synthetic environments that meet the needs of both internal and external customers.

What You Will Do:

• Develop 3D models and textures for synthetic environment databases
• Ensure all content adheres to defined visual and technical standards
• Interpret customer requirements and produce appropriate documentation and deliverables
• Manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a Bachelors degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare authorized to access information under thisprogram/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience in 3D modeling and texturing
• Strong visualization skills and understanding of synthetic environment requirements
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for texture creation and editing
• Familiarity with Presagis Creator Maya 3ds Max or Blender
• Knowledge of Substance3D for advanced texturing workflows
• Programming experience in C C# or Python (especially with OpenGL/DirectX) is a plus
• Ability to create Photoshop scripts/actions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented mindset

The salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
