Critical Environment Facilities Manager

Reports to:Integrated Facilities Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Critical Environment Facilities Manager to join our team and oversee the management of critical systems service delivery at our ll facility. This key leadership role requires a hands-on professional who will ensure optimal performance of mission-critical infrastructure while supporting our clients operational excellence and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Critical Systems Management

• Preventative & Reactive Maintenance:Lead comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programs and efficiently manage reactive maintenance procedures for all critical systems
• Project Leadership:Manage and support critical system projects and improvement initiatives with deep involvement in HVAC and other critical asset projects
• BMS Operations:Supervise and continuously improve the sites Building Management System (BMS) program

Operational Excellence

• Vendor Management:Oversee all contractors on-site ensuring performance meets required standards through regular inspections and quality control
• Procurement Support:Assist in vendor selection and service procurement processes
• Warranty Management:Effectively manage asset warranties and related processes
• Cost Control:Implement precise cost control measures and develop site-specific cost-saving solutions

Compliance & Reporting

• Insurance Compliance:Support FM Global compliance requirements participate in regular audits and implement audit-recommended solutions
• Sustainability Goals:Actively support client sustainability initiatives and energy management processes
• Financial Management:Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial processes including purchase order management and energy billing alignment
• Reporting:Provide regular status reports and maintain clear communication channels with clients

Health Safety & Quality

• Safety Leadership:Maintain strong health & safety awareness and promote safe work practices across all activities
• Quality Assurance:Adhere to JLLs business conduct guidelines and quality requirements
• Facility Standards:Ensure premises are maintained in excellent working condition at all times

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Proven experience in building maintenance with recognized professional skills
• Previous experience in manufacturing sector environments
• Background in regulated facilities management
• Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives
• Proven vendor management capabilities for specialized services

Technical Expertise

• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems
• Understanding of critical facilities including:
  • Computer Room Air-conditioning systems
  • Chiller systems
  • Fire Protection systems
  • Mechanical & Electrical systems
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Experience with building fabric maintenance and basic reactive repairs
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety obligations in maintenance activities

Professional Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Strong PC literacy and proficiency with various management systems
• Commercial contract interpretation and management skills
• Budget management and financial analysis capabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Positive solution-oriented can do attitude
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required

Education

• Technical facilities background preferred (Facilities Management Engineering Project Management or related experience)
• Masters Degree would be beneficial
