Job Description

Adjunct Faculty - Sport Management

Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications forpart-time adjunct faculty positions in Sport Management for our on-ground program. The successful candidate willhave experience teaching undergraduate coursesin sport management with specific responsibility for teaching SPMG 320: Sport Event Management in Spring begin January 13^th 2026. Teaching contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment instructor availability and student success.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a Ph.D. in Sport Management or a related Ph.D. with 18 graduate hours in the Sport Management discipline.
Possess strong communication skills.
Have experience teaching undergraduate courses
Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard Canvas or D2L.
Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
