Title: Engine Mechanic II
Duration: 6 months (Temp to Hire)
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Shift: 1st shift Mon - Fri 5.30 AM - 2.00 PM PST
Qualifications 2 years of Engine MRO experience. Must have High School diploma or equivalent. Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder per FAA requirements. Ability to read and interpret service repair manuals and technical publications to determine work procedures. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of various hand tools including but not limited to torque wrenches transducers multipliers dial indicators micrometers scales and other precision instrumentation. Ability to work and manuever around engines to successfully fulfill the job requirements. Qualified as an Engine Mechanic I (internal criteria). Experience working internally with LM2500 LM6000 LMS100 or other aero-derivative gas turbine engines or packages. Strong verbal written analytical and communication skills. Attendance and punctuality. Responsibilities: The incumbent will primarily disassemble repair and re-assemble gas turbine engines to meet customer requirements and support other component repairs in the shop. The Essential Functions of This Position Are: Review technical documents and disassembly repair and assemble gas turbine engines which may include re-reengining for reassembly. Repair and fabricate of gas turbine engine parts and tools by sanding grit blasting deburring ends of sheared or sawed stock blending and routing welds removing honeycombs brazing and cleaning parts. Maintain accurate documentation on travelers and record uses gauges and tools to determine specified tolerances are maintained and observe all Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures. Ability and willingness to increase and expand skill set within the facility multi-skill and move to other areas of operation to support business goals and objectives. Understand and adhere to all Quality Assurance policies and procedures and EHS requirements.
