PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Perform non-routine technical work in support of the telecommunications system with a primary focus on provisioning and configuring residential and commercial services. Employees in this role act as a higher-level support resource for both customers and field technicians providing advanced troubleshooting when standard procedures or NOC assistance are not sufficient. The position also involves prioritizing and dispatching work orders guiding field crews through complex issues and serving as a lead resource for Engineering Aide III staff. Successful incumbents combine strong technical knowledge with effective communication skills ensuring that both customers and internal teams receive timely accurate and professional support.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree or completion of a technical specialty program of eighteen months three years duration in electrical or telecommunications engineering and significant prior working experience in the electrical/ telecommunications engineering field incorporating the necessary knowledge skills and abilities required for the specific position. Successful candidates will have familiarity with telecom systems and in-depth knowledge of provisioning telecom services Excel troubleshooting techniques as well as excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Examination will be a written test.
