Remuneration: pro-rata$120138 - $% superannuation
Expressions of interest are sought from currently employed Monash University staff experienced in communications within the tertiary environment and with external stakeholders. This opportunity would suit those with prior experience in a similar role within a medical research or clinical trial environment or those seeking to finesse their communications skills within a medical research program.
The role reports to the mitoHOPE Program Manager and will work closely with the programs Director the Facultys external engagement team University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) and communication teams at external partners.
Key responsibilities:
- maintenance of communication plans and the development of content that effectively conveys the programs goals activities and achievements to stakeholders including academic and clinical collaborators government agencies and the mito community
- maintaining a comprehensive digital platform and presence for the platform and monthly analytical reports
- monitoring of external media (news outlets social media) for the dissemination of information pertinent to the program
- production and/or coordination of high-quality assets including design collateral reports and presentations
- management of all internal and external communication activities to support the delivery of the mitoHOPE Program
- Other duties as directed from time to time
The successful candidate will have postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and have extensive experience and expertise across all media channels.
This secondment (parental leave opportunity) is available for a maximum period of 12 months commencing at the start of October 2025.
