We are looking for a Research Fellow to contribute to a new research project on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct research on AI-mediated communication in emotional and mental health contexts.
Design develop and evaluate interactive systems or interventions that promote positive socio-emotional outcomes.
Publish and present research in top-tier HCI and communication journals and conferences and contribute to open resources or toolkits for academic and public audiences.
Mentor and collaborate with students and interdisciplinary team members and build partnerships with external stakeholders such as community organisations or industry.
Support lab development including organising research activities managing projects and contributing to grant proposals.
Job Requirements:
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (completed or near completion) in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Communication Computer Science Information Science Psychology or a related field.
Proven track record with publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings in Communication and HCI.
Proficiency in quantitative/statistical analysis and computational techniques (e.g. NLP data mining).
Experience conducting mixed-method research.
Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
