The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities employs over 1900 staff and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications including power generation transmission and distribution oil chemical and gas industrial manufacturing semiconductor and data centers as well as building and transportation sectors.
Nearly half of our white-collar workforce comprises employees in engineering and scientific fields. Internally we have targeted talent development programs for employees at different stages of their career development to build skills and competencies foster training support people to own career development scale up organization for growth and execution.
How youll make an impact
You will manage overall manufacturing operations including staff and the SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning)process.
You will implement continuous improvement methodologies and lean principles to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
You will develop programs and metrics to optimize operational performance and working capital.
You will recruit retain and develop high-performing teams while establishing a talent pipeline for future leaders.
You will ensure a strong customer focus and uphold high ethical standards in all operations.
You will provide a safe and healthy work environment ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
You will collaborate with the ITM (Integrated Transformer Management System) team to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes.
You need to backfill key positions and provide training and mentoring to leaders. Tackle production hurdles due to machine issues part shortages or personnel shortages.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background
You hold a degree in Engineering Manufacturing Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes quality control and safety standards.
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams drive engagement and achieve high performance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex situations and resolve issues.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members implementing training and development programs that enhance skills and promote career growth.
