Job Description

Our facilities are vibrant action-oriented environments - a hub of activity where visitors can play learn to swim go to fitness classes train and take part in sporting events.

We have a large fun team who get to work with the community every day - it is an extremely rewarding environment with plenty of laughs along the way.

An exciting opportunity to embark on a challenging and rewarding career. We are recruiting for new casual employees to start in our paid training intakes once you are qualified you will receive 20 NZQA Level 3 credits and can move into permanent positions that will work alongside your studies or standard rotations.

About the role

A typical day in the life of our Lifeguards will include supervising pool users ensuring a safe and fun environment for all and rotating around different stations and pools - all while interacting and building relationships with our customers.

What will you need

  • A good attitude enthusiastic and reliable
  • Confidence in and around water - able to swim (swim test will be required in training)
  • Ability to work effectively with all cultures and ages Strong communication and high work standards
  • Great work ethic and a team player
  • Effective problem solving with the ability to think and act fast
  • Experience in a customer service role or similar advantageous

To be eligible you need:

  • The right to work in New Zealand or a NZ Work Visa with at least 12 months remaining on it from your commencement date with us
  • To be medically fit for employment Must be 16 years old or up.
  • Must be 16 years or older

All candidates are required to complete a criminal history check under the Vulnerable Childrens Act before commencement of employment.
