Roles and Responsibilities
A first point of contact for employees & managers supporting the New Product and Technology Introduction Programs this position provides coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes.
Responsible for collaborating with project teams assessing the workforce needs for new roles and managing the HR-related tasks for new product/technology initiatives such as ensuring compliance and employee engagement.
Managing the recruitment process for new hires (alongside our Talent Acquisition team) and assessing the suitability of internal employees for potential new roles in the project.
Collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements manage expectations and ensure alignment with Dowtys organizational design and principles throughout all phases of the NPI project.
Youll have in-depth understanding of key business drivers; using this understanding to accomplish your own work. Plus in-depth understanding of how work of your own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Using your in-depth HR knowledge and understanding you will be ensuring that all HR practices related to the new product are compliant with legal requirements and internal company policies.
Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Impacts projects processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require more senior levels of guidance.
Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
This role requires advanced experience in the Human Resources & Employee Human Resource Management arena. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent industry gained experience.
Desired Characteristics
Proven ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and all client business groups using effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
Established project management skills. Operational HR partnership experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting is highly desirable.
