Job Description

Exciting Opportunity: Operations Director

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience.

LTIP / Growth Shares available for the right candidate.

Contract: Full-time Permanent

Location:Inverness

Gael Force Group are a leading OEM and provider of Marine Equipment Technology and Services to the Marine Aquaculture and Renewables sectors and we are seeking to recruit an Operations Director.

The Operations Director is responsible for leading and optimising the operational and financial performance of our production facilities engineering-based contracts and managed projects. This includes the effective deployment of resources processes and systems across all production units to ensure delivery of the annual business plan and wider strategic objectives on time within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

The role also holds company-wide accountability for Quality Assurance and Health & Safety Compliance ensuring all operations adhere to relevant legislation and internal policies.

In addition the Director will provide technical input in support of product development initiatives and broader business activities across the company.

As a core member of the senior leadership team the Operations Director will also play a critical role in shaping the companys strategic direction driving sustainable growth and supporting innovation continuous improvement and operational excellence across all functions.

What we are looking for:

  • An engineering production or construction management background is necessary
  • Professional Engineering qualifications are a strong advantage
  • Marine Experience is advantageous
  • An ability to manage projects and budgets to cost is essential
  • An ability to prepare and manage Project Plans using industry software tools
  • Experience of controlling costs to target and budget
  • Reliability in terms of time management is core to all aspect of this job
  • Contractual knowledge and understanding
  • Business management experience
  • People management experience and leadership skills
