There are 2 x casual fixed-term positions that are responsible for developing and facilitating a 6-month book club for people with intellectual disability. It is part of a research project aimed at improving the social networks of people with disability. The role is for a period of 7-8 months and is suitable for a disability support worker or others wanting to take on an exciting project.
Initially there is around 20 hours of work to set up the book club and an additional 2.5hrs every 3 weeks facilitating the book club plus an additional 3 hours in the days that follow.
The Client Book Club Facilitator will draw on their experience of delivering in-service community and/or recreational programs to people with disability throughout this role. There will be two Client Book Club Facilitators working together.
