Job Description:
JOB DUTIES:
Prepares and administers department budget grants or funds which include: preparing budgets and financial models; reviewing and modifying budgets as necessary; tracking revenues and expenditures.
Reviews researches and analyze financial accounting and budgeting data and transactions; identifies and resolves account discrepancies.
Maintains and reconciles a variety of ledgers or accounts; examines all accounting transactions to ensure accuracy; corrects financial records as necessary.
Prepares a variety of detailed analytical and statistical financial statements and reports; ensures compliance with policies procedures or grant requirements; and submits reports to appropriate internal departments or external agencies.
May supervise Court and Probation Budget Division employees.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in public administration finance economics or related area; 2 years of work experience in public administration finance economics or related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Accounting and financial management principles practices and procedures;
Budgeting principles;
Accounting and financial analysis techniques;
Accounting and financial system management principles;
Statistical and mathematical concepts;
Report preparation techniques;
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
Applicable Federal State and local laws rules and regulations;
Computers and related software applications.

Applying accounting principles and practices;
Preparing and monitoring budgets;
Reading comprehending and analyzing financial statements;
Compiling and verifying financial data;
Preparing and maintaining financial statements and reports;
Maintaining financial systems and processes;
Applying Federal State and local laws rules and regulations;
Operating a computer and related software applications;
Communication interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with subordinates coworkers supervisor the general public etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
