Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated efficient and meticulous Machist to join our growing team. As a Machist with our organization you will play a vital role in machining various parts that feed up into the assembly areas of the facility.The ideal candidate for this operator position is a dependable diligent worker who can complete tasks successfully with little to no guidance.
- Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include saws lathes grinders mills and similar equipment.
- Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
- Measures finished parts with precision tools ensuring compliance with function quality and cosmetic specifications.
- Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Maintains a clean safe and orderly work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assist in maintaining 5S and a clean safe work environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
- Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing tasks given to them.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Dependable work history.
- Works with little guidance or direction.
- Must be detail and quality oriented to detect and report potential quality issues.
- Ability to read write and speak English to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
Physical Abilities/Working Conditions:
- Normal work week is 40 hours; 7am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday
- Overtime may be required when necessary
- Prolonged periods working on feet using tools and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions operate machines and inspect parts produced.
