Location: Lenexa Based with travel to sites across the US.

GBA Companies is hiring Field Engineer Interns for GBA Builders.

GBA Builders provides pre-construction consulting general contracting design-build and construction management at risk services.

As an intern you may gain hands-on experience with estimating preconstruction design management project management scheduling quality control reviews site visits and much more.

What Youll Do:

Assist project managers with day-to-day activities such as drawing coordination safety reports daily logs and reports progress photos quality assurance and site communication and coordination.
Assist with estimating by contacting subcontractors and completing quantity take-off
Quality control assistance
Assist with schedule evaluations and updates
Assist project buyout and preconstruction
Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite the work
Attend site visits for new projects
Assist with project budget management
Provide Safety assistance while on job sites
Other duties as assigned

What Youll Bring:

Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering OR other related engineering or business discipline with interest in construction
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Ability to work in fast-paced situations while maintaining focus
Desire to work in a team environment
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
Previous internships are a definite plus but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit stand climb and work on active construction sites for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Comfort working at heights using ladders scaffolds or stairs
