SUMMARY

Staff in this position coordinates the residential behavioral home clinical and applied behavior analysis concepts within the CMH residential setting and the community. Staff will be responsible to coordinate all phases of program scheduling and including but not limited to the following: will assist with a treatment plan training to home staff and CMA assist with training and collections on documentation from BTC and assist with ABA department needs. This staff will be responsible for collaboration between the residential home and CMH staff. Staff must be able to utilize a computer including programs such as word processing desktop publishing and spreadsheet programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Be available to assist with routine residential program needs as needed.
  • Assists in the identification of individuals needs and strengths wishes and desires training and treatment outcomes.
  • Provides training to homes and CMAs on BTC/ IPOS expectations. Complete appropriate training based on IPOS changes (amendments).
  • Will track completion of IPOS training in the home system.
  • Consults with program supervisor professional staff peers and caregivers regarding individuals interests and needs as it relates to their placement.
  • Is prepared to administer CPR First Aid and approved physical intervention techniques when needed.
  • Provide monthly reports to CSM on the residential home system.
  • Works with other staff and supervisors within a cooperative team approach to achieve and improve individuals and program outcomes/performance.
  • Assists in meeting quality assurance standards for programs and agency.
  • Demonstrates understanding of a compliance with agency and program policies and procedures.
  • Participates in committees and work teams as requested or assigned.
  • Maintain ABA schedule board/phone/ messages to parents as needed
  • Sanilac Transportation coordination for ABA
  • Schedule updates to parents/school (letters go out each month for changes or updates)
  • Assist in planning outings/coordinate with ABA staff about trainings.
  • Complete Month ABA program reports.
  • Assist with training technicians in behavior management techniques.
  • Create behavior sheets that reflect BTC restrictions
  • Collect and graph data for the BTC team to use to increase or decrease restrictions
  • Assist with obtaining documents from the home and/or guardians as needed.
  • Participate in residential systems staff meetings as needed to help with communication between the home and treatment team.
  • Provide feedback on residential placement to assist the CM with completing the Periodic Review.
  • Educate and communicate BTC outcomes with CM.
  • Assist with Behavior Crisis as needed within the residential system.
  • Attend team meetings/IPOSs with treatment team
  • Assist individuals with using coping skills identified by the treatment team
  • Attend BTC meetings and provide input from data collected and home staff
  • Providing training in CPI as per the agency schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 40-hour Experience in training others in behavior management and service delivery
  • Has the ability to coordinate sites schedules and training materials for effective services.
  • Has demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing a group training program.
  • Has demonstrated competency in implementing policies related to the administering of prescribed medication to individuals served.
  • Has the ability or experience in identifying or developing community resources.
  • Has adequate awareness and ability to implement the concept and practical implications of person-centered planning in the program work and community environment.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 40 hour/ABA RBT training and a minimum of 3 years of working in and managing a residential group home setting.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic Skills: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Has the ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software including Microsoft teams. A typing speed of 45 wpm is recommended.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Chauffeurs License CPR First Aid and DCH Certification within three months of hire. Hi-Lo operation and Quick Book training within three months of hire.

Retirement

Nationwide 401(a)-

If hired on or after 9/1/2019 the Authority shall contribute an amount equal to three percent (3%) of the employees base wage.

Pension-

For Employees hired prior to 09/01/2019 the pension formula will be a two percent (2%) multiplier and the Employer will continue to provide contributions as actuarially determined to insure the financial soundness of the fund.

Vested in the Authoritys contributions once thirty-six (36) months of service are completed with the Authority.

Vested in the Authoritys contributions once eight years of service are completed.

The Authority shall contribute fifty cents ($0.50) to the 401(a) Plan for each dollar ($1.00) an Employee contributes to his or her 457B Plan up to the first four percent (4%) of the employees base wage.
