$20000 Sign on Bonus Available to Qualified Candidates!

Hours

• Four/10 hour shifts/week

• Department is open 7 days/week

• Call requirement up to 7 days/month

Overview

An Echocardiographer also known as a cardiac sonographer specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart. These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures functions and blood flow aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Performs two dimensional echocardiograms Doppler echocardiograms transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associates or Bachelors in Cardiovascular Technology) OR a High School Diploma along with significant experience will be considered in lieu of education in accordance with IAC Guidelines.

Certification/Licensure

• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS RCS or RDCS) within 12 months of hire

• ACLS within 90 days of hire

• BLS within 90 days of hire
