The problem: Every minute matters in fire response. As climate change amplifies the intensity of wildfireswith longer fire seasons dryer fuels and faster windsnew ignitions spread faster and put more communities at risk. Today most wildfires are detected by bystanders and reported via 911 meaning it can take hours to detect a fire verify its exact location and size and dispatch first responders. Fire authorities need a faster way to detect confirm and pinpoint fires so that they can quickly respondpreventing small flare-ups from becoming devastating infernos.

The Role
Were looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our small but growing analytics team and lead the development of our data transformation layer. This is a highly stakeholder-facing role where youll meet with teams across the company to understand their data needs and deliver trusted well-modeled data solutions. Youll be the dbt expert on our team ensuring our pipeline is reliable scalable and supports a wide range of use cases. Your work will lay the foundation for high-impact insights across the organization.
What youll do
- Own and evolve our dbt project to support reliable scalable and well-documented data transformations.
- Partner directly with stakeholders across departments to translate data needs into actionable models and solutions.
- Blend data from various sources (e.g. Mixpanel Intentwise and Salesforce) into a cohesive analytics layer that supports reporting and decision-making.
- Maintain and enhance our data models in BigQuery to power analytics dashboards and operational workflows.
- Implement and uphold best practices around data governance testing and documentation.
What youll bring
- 5 years of experience in analytics engineering data analysis including 2 years working extensively with dbt.
- Deep expertise in SQL with a track record of building modular well-documented and performant models
- .Experience with modern data stacks and tools. BigQuery and Metabase are a plus but equivalent tools are welcome.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with business and technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: familiarity with Python for scripting data validation or orchestration tasks.
$125000 - $165000 a year
Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications education experience knowledge skills and addition to salary this position is also eligible for stock options.
