The Residential Supervisor provides leadership management and support within the Universitys residential life program specifically for the Upward Bound Program. This role oversees daily operations of assigned residence halls supervises student staff and promotes a safe inclusive and engaging living-learning environment for Upward Bound participants. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for fostering community supporting student success and ensuring adherence to University housing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Resident Assistants (RAs) and other student staff in assigned Upward Bound residence halls.
• Develop and implement educational cultural and social programming tailored to Upward Bound participants.
• Serve as a role model and resource for residential students supporting their personal and academic growth.
• Respond to and document student conduct issues in collaboration with the Office of Student Conduct or Dean of Students.
• Provide crisis intervention conflict resolution and mediation as needed.
• Connect students with campus resources (counseling academic support financial aid etc.).
• Oversee occupancy management room assignments and facility concerns for assigned halls.
• Collaborate with Campus Safety Facilities and other departments to address maintenance and safety issues.
• Maintain accurate records of programming conduct and staff performance.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Recruit hire train and evaluate residential student staff.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Higher Education Student Affairs Counseling or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential life housing or student affairs.
• Demonstrated leadership organizational and communication skills.
