Job Summary: Cozy Earth is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 1-3 years of experience to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accounting software such as NetSuite or QuickBooks and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and report on financial performance.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or currently working towards obtaining such a degree.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferably in a similar industry.
- Proficiency in Netsuite QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
