A YMCA Cheer Coordinator is responsible foroverseeing all aspects of the cheerleading program including coaching training and mentoring young ensure a safe and inclusive environment for participants fostering youth development healthy living and social responsibility through sports and role also involves administrative tasks like scheduling communication with parents and ensuring adherence to YMCA policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS: - Instruct cheerleading programs according to YMCA guidelines.
- Develop and implement practice plans.
- Ensure safety during all activities.
- Organize and conduct parent orientation meetings.
- Develop and distribute practice and game schedules.
- Coordinate all aspects of the cheerleading program.
- Maintain accurate records related to the program.
- Maintain open community with parents and coaches
- Convey basic information on YMCA programs and schedules to members and refer them to other programs or staff as appropriate.
- Attend staff meetings and approved training as required.
- Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum age of 18 years old.
- High School Diploma; College level education is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of children and teens.
- Experience in cheerleading coaching a plus
CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAININGS - Current First Aid/CPR/AED certifications or within 30 days of hire
