Triple Jump is looking for an: Investment Risk Manager
Based in Amsterdam 32-40 hours
The Investment Risk Manager is responsible for Financial Risk Management (FRM) within the market risk domain encompassing interest rate risk currency risk liquidity risk leverage risk and country risk. Operating independently from the investment team the Investment Risk Manager plays a critical role in identifying monitoring and mitigating financial risks associated with the investment funds and mandates managed by Triple Jump. This role emphasizes a data-driven approach to risk management leveraging advanced analytics and quantitative methods.
Responsibilities
Monitor Financial Risks: Identify and oversee key exposures (interest rate FX liquidity leverage country risk) with sound judgment and attention to detail. Apply critical thinking to set and manage investment limits aligned with policy.
Quantitative Analysis & Tools: Develop and apply risk models using Python R or SQL. Use analytical curiosity and problem-solving skills to turn data into actionable insights.
Stress Testing & Model Validation: Conduct scenario analyses and validate models to ensure reliability. Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in evaluating complex market conditions.
Reporting & Compliance: Communicate risk findings clearly to senior stakeholders. Show strong written and verbal communication skills while ensuring compliance with SFDR and other regulations.
Governance & Strategic Alignment: Align risk appetite with investment strategy and contribute to a strong risk culture. Collaborate effectively across teams showing initiative and ownership.
Job requirements
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quantitative risk management techniques.
Experience with data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python R or SQL.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Economics Statistics Mathematics or a related field.
At least 5 years experience in the finance or banking sector
Professional certifications such as CFA FRM or PRM are highly desirable.
Proven experience in investment risk management preferably within an impact investment environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
