Job Description
$800M National Enterprise
Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager (depending on experience)
$100k-$130k 50-100% Bonus potential (yes - you read that correctly)
Virginia Beach VA - hybrid
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Booking journal entries
- Month/Quarter/Year-end close activities
- Reconciliations (bank reconciliations credit card reconciliations balance sheet reconciliations etc.)
- Identifying gaps in GL functions and making recommendations
- Preparing financial statements
- Assisting with sales and use tax activities
- Working with fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Potentially working with partnership tax experience
Candidate should have the following background:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or similar business-related degree area from a respected college or university
- 5 years of experience as a Staff or Senior GL Accountant ideally with a $250 million revenue company
- Strong GL experience in various areas
- Experience with processing sales and use tax
- Partnership tax experience preferred but not required
- Fixed assets experience preferred but not required
- ERP system experience (SAP Oracle Dynamics Netsuite etc.)
- Strong Excel experience (data entry formulas etc.)
- Strong analytical mindset and can do attitude
- Ability to take direction from leadership and apply strategy to completing tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
