This position will function and serve as shift manager for the following Memorial Union restaurants on the UW Madison campus: Strada Daily Scoop Terrace BBQ Stand and Lakeview Lounge. Job duties include: oversee quality food preparation presentation and customer service; guide and direct staff; oversee training and development of part-time staff.
Our organization the Wisconsin Union is the social heart of UW-Madison providing events facilities and activities for students staff faculty thousands of Wisconsin Union members and visitors. The Union also provides hands-on leadership experiences for hundreds of UW-Madison students.
Schedule:
This position is scheduled to work a combination of days nights and weekends with 2 days off in a row. Operational and work schedules will be closely aligned with the services and customer needs of our units. As a result work schedules will be adjusted during specific times of the year to meet demand.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally needed; Ability to work outside in inclement weather needed.

The starting salary is $22.50/hour - but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
