HD Trailer Sales Manager

GATR Truck Center is seeking to hire a full-time Trailer Sales Manager to lead all 5 of our locations primarily focused on our Iowa locations. PRIMARY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Lead motivate and mentor a team of heavy-duty truck sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between sales marketing and customer service.
• Stay abreast of industry trends market dynamics and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
• Conduct regular market analysis to understand customer needs and preferences and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients dealers and industry stakeholders.
• Work closely with the customer service team to address customer inquiries concerns and feedback promptly.
• Provide ongoing training coaching and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales department.
• Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
• Regularly review sales performance data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Sell 200 new and used trailers at assigned profit margins per year
• Above average sales skills
• Average or better knowledge of Heavy-Duty Trucks and trailers
• Travel to all locations required on a consistent basis
• Adherence to GATR Policies and Procedures Safety Guidelines Environmental Regulations Equipment Rules and other applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-assured and confident in his/her abilities
• Great attitude!
• Ability to comprehend instructions and information.
• 3 years of industry related sales experience and Sales Management
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• PC proficiency basic Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly
• Excellent driving record /CDL License preferred
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Desire to further training and knowledge
• Excellent phone sales skills and manners
