Deputy Nurse Manager Nursing Home
40 hours per week (MonFri) with on-call duties
Salary: 50900

Our client a luxury nursing home dedicated to providing exceptional care for older adults is looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to step into a leadership role within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care compliance with CQC standards and staff development. This position is ideal for a motivated nurse with proven leadership experience who is passionate about improving the lives of older adults in a care home setting.

What Were Looking For

  • NMC registration as an RGN (Registered General Nurse) or RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse).
  • Previous experience in a senior nursing or managerial role within a nursing home.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and best practice in adult care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Organisational and time-management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership mentorship and supervision to nursing and care staff ensuring excellent standards of person-centred care.
  • Support the Nurse Manager with day-to-day operations including staffing scheduling and effective resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of safety and care.
  • Promote a culture of dignity respect and independence tailoring care plans to meet residents individual needs.
  • Build strong relationships with residents families and external healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and overall well-being.
  • Act as a point of escalation resolving concerns raised by residents families or staff in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Support staff appraisals audits and team meetings to encourage open communication and continuous development.
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date resident records in line with confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
  • Deputise for the Nurse Manager in their absence ensuring continuity of leadership and care.
