The City of Rancho Cordovas Communications & Public Affairs Department is seeking a College Internto work with the departments Community Engagement Division. The student should have a desire to assist with community related programs and projects. The ideal candidate would have strong communication and organizational skills; and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Typical assignments include:
Your internship will include impactful hands-on work within the Community Engagement division networking professional development and building lasting connections with other interns mentors and City team members.

Applications will be screened by the Human Resources Department for minimum qualifications. Qualifying applicants may be contacted by the Department to interview. Final appointment is contingent upon a check of past employment references passing a City-paid fingerprint check and depending on position applied for a pre-employment medical exam and a drug and alcohol-screening test.
Under close supervision this position will assist in a variety of tasks with the Community Engagement Division. Depending upon assignment typical duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires the mobility and manual dexterity to work in a standard office environment use standard office equipment; speech and hearing to communicate in person and by telephone; vision to read handwritten and printed materials and a computer screen; strength and agility to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds; emotional and psychological capability to work alone concentrate or have frequent public and/or coworker contact.
