As the Finance Data Solutions Lead you will play a pivotal role in designing and

implementing data solutions for FFP. Your efforts will enhance the risk and control environment of Finance processes making them more efficient and advancing Finance data management capabilities.

Background and Purpose:

Through FFP we aim to establish a sustainable growth platform by enhancing performance consistency across all our markets through the modernization of our organizational model and technology platform. As part of this modernization we need to reengineer our Finance processes by deploying advanced data management techniques and capabilities ensuring they operate effectively within a Business-As-Usual (BAU) environment.

The role purpose is as follows:

  • Lead the design and implementation of data process reengineering & control enhancements to support the transformation of prioritized Finance Leadership (FLT) initiatives.

  • Conduct current state assessments and design target states on Finance processes deploying data management and data governance techniques and capabilities.

  • Conduct workshops with senior Finance stakeholders to co-create data operating model and ensure the successful adoption of newly defined operating model to support the reengineered processes.

  • Identify golden sources and data owners to ensure data feeding into Finance processes are of high quality.

  • Define customer journeys and user stories to facilitate the implementation of target state designs.

  • Deploy data management capabilities (e.g. data governance data quality records keeping data privacy) across Finance processes to ensure business outcomes.

  • Identify Common data capabilities across Finance processes to centralise and run in Prudential Value Creation Centre (VCC)

  • Transition the data operating model and newly defined processes to Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations and establish the VCC.

  • Build out data solution capabilities within Data CoE such as ServiceNow Collibra and Databricks capabilities.

The key deliverables:

  • Define and document current state processes and controls highlighting areas of weakness and inefficiencies.

  • Develop and document the finance process target operating model including process maps and control libraries.

  • Create an implementation roadmap and timelines in collaboration with the Data Delivery Lead.

  • Design customer journey maps and user stories managing the backlog to support the Data Delivery Lead.

  • Operationalize the Finance Centre of Excellence (COE) for Data Governance within the Value Creation Centre.

  • Implement the Finance Data Ownership model through a data domain and sub-domain construct.

  • Establish data quality (DQ) rules and associated thresholds to ensure data accuracy completeness and timeliness for finance processes.

  • Build out central support capability for common data solution patterns such as ServiceNow and Collibra.

  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data COE and Chief Data Office to ensure Finance complies with Group Data Policy and associated minimum standards.

  • Manage the framework for tracking and handling manual interventions in end-user developed applications.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Conduct workshops to understand current state processes and controls identifying areas of weakness and inefficiencies.

  • Facilitate workshops to co-create the target operating model including process maps and controls with finance stakeholders.

  • Document customer journey maps and user stories in alignment with the target operating model.

  • Operationalize the Data Centre of Excellence (COE) within the Value Creation Centre.

  • Implement the Finance Data Ownership model through a data domain and sub-domain construct.

  • Execute data quality (DQ) rules and associated thresholds to ensure data accuracy completeness and timeliness for finance processes.

  • Maintain customized ServiceNow and Collibra workflows for Finance processes.

  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data COE and Chief Data Office to ensure Finance complies with Group Data Policy and associated minimum standards.

  • Manage the framework for tracking and handling manual interventions in end-user developed applications.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 8-10yrs experience in Data Solution Data Governance or Data Quality Role.

  • Strong process reengineering and control experience within Finance.

  • Operating model design and Implementation Proven track record in designing and implementing operating model design.

  • Working knowledge Collibra ServiceNow Alteryx and PowerBI.

  • Has experience working in the Insurance Industry.

  • Has experience in meeting data regulations such as privacy sovereignty and records management.

  • Has extensive experience working with Audit Compliance and Operational Risk.

  • Has designed and implemented a Training & Educational programme to improve data maturity in an organisation.
