We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer (mid-to-senior level) to build and lead our ServiceNow capability within this role you will own the business development and administration of the ServiceNow platform from maintaining and enhancing workflows that drive digital transformation for Finance processes. You will work closely with Finance teams (e.g. invoicing accounting budgeting approvals) to translate their requirements into efficient ServiceNow workflows . As a senior member you will lead projects from conception to delivery coordinate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and establish best practices to ensure the platforms success. This role offers the opportunity to shape our ServiceNow roadmap within Finance and grow into a team lead guiding junior members in the near future.
Background and Purpose:
Through FFP we are looking to build a sustainable growth platform by driving more consistent performance across each of our markets through modernization of our organizational model and technology platform.
As part of this modernization there is a need to create a Finance centre of excellence to manage and run data governance processes. Through the Future Finance Programme (FFP) the candidate will need to operationalize newly designed data governance processes and ensure they are running effectively within BAU.
The role purpose is as follows:
Establishing and scaling the ServiceNow platform within a dynamic finance and insurance environment.
Support both IT and business stakeholders by designing developing and maintaining digital workflowsespecially those co-created with citizen developers.
Drive automation streamline finance-related processes and deliver tailored ServiceNow solutions aligned with business priorities.
This position will serve as a key technical leader for ServiceNow initiatives within a Business context.
The key deliverables:
A scalable and maintainable ServiceNow platform architecture aligned to business and IT governance standards.
Automated workflows supporting core finance functions (e.g. invoicing budgeting approvals).
Working with IT define a ServiceNow Governance framework and support structure for citizen-developed applications.
A structured backlog and prioritization mechanism for enhancements and modifications.
Knowledge base development standards and documentation for internal ServiceNow practices.
Roadmap for ServiceNow capability development and team expansion.
Principal Accountabilities:
Platform Development & Management- Design build and manage scalable ServiceNow workflows modules and integrations with a focus on finance and operations.
Workflow Optimization- Enhance and support both IT-led and citizen-developer workflows; ensure performance scalability and governance.
Demand Management- Establish and run a structured intake and prioritization process for ServiceNow feature requests and change initiatives.
Business Engagement- Collaborate with Finance and business teams to capture requirements deliver solutions and ensure alignment with process needs.
Project Leadership- Lead ServiceNow-related projects from inception through delivery. Ensure on-time in-scope and high-quality implementations.
Governance & Compliance- Enforce ServiceNow development standards and governance policies especially in contexts involving citizen developers.
Team Growth & Mentorship- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and guide the onboarding of future team members.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field
5 years hands-on experience with ServiceNow development in enterprise environments
Has strong experience working in the Insurance Industry and Finance
Deep understanding of ServiceNow data schema scoped applications and APIs
Strong experience with finance-related process automation (e.g. invoicing budgeting workflows)
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work cross-functionally with business and IT stakeholders
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) Required
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Preferred
