Job Description

Mixed Veterinary Surgeon Mallow Co. Cork

A well-established mixed veterinary practice in Co. Cork is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role offers a truly varied caseload across both large and small animals providing excellent scope to develop and apply a broad range of clinical skills.

Role & Requirements:

  • Competence in both large animal and small animal medicine and surgery is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for building strong client relationships and working effectively within the team.
  • Experience is preferred though support will be provided where needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care in both farm animal and companion animal practice.
  • Carry out routine herd health work fertility visits diagnostics and emergency care.
  • Perform consultations and surgeries in small animal practice.

  • Participate in the shared OOH rota: 1:3 during the spring period and 1:4 for approximately eight months of the year.
