Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Greenwich to assist with the appointment of a Project Manager on a 5.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 25.04 - 31.76 per hour

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join the Families First Programme within Childrens Services at The Royal Borough of Greenwich. The role will focus on supporting workforce planning change management and service transformation activities to deliver high-quality reforms in Social Care. Reporting to the Transformation Lead within the Families First Programme Team the Project Manager will lead on end-to-end project delivery coordinate with HR on workforce-related activities and engage stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of change initiatives. This role requires strong project management expertise excellent organisational skills and proven experience working within HR or workforce transformation programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects within the Families First Programme ensuring objectives are achieved on time within budget and to a high standard.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans risk assessments and communications strategies.
  • Work closely with Corporate HR to support workforce planning recruitment restructure and change management activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across Childrens Services Corporate HR and other departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative approaches to service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management ideally within public sector or social care environments.
  • Demonstrable experience working on HR-related projects such as workforce planning restructures or organisational change.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies tools and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience producing clear and concise reports presentations and project documentation.
