Description

Caesars Entertainment is looking for an experienced Support Specialist who can provide support on computer hardware and software as part of the Las Vegas Region IT Property Operations team. The Support Specialist will support end users in the installation upgrade and troubleshooting of hardware and software at our eight Las Vegas casino properties. The successful candidate will have previous work experience as a Desktop Support or a similar role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Address user tickets regarding hardware software and access
  • Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
  • Assist in project or market special event IT equipment installation and support coverage
  • Assist with deployment of equipment to end users
  • Guide users with simple step-by-step instructions
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting
  • Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
  • Record technical issues and solutions in logs
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional
  • Report customer feedback and potential product requests

Requirements:

  • 1 year computer operations experience in an iSeries and/or Windows server environment. Experience to include knowledge of basic system commands and error message recognition.
  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Familiarization with ticketing software such as Service Now
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals like printers and scanners
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Customer-oriented attitude
  • CompTIAs A Network and Security (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to lift to 40 pounds
  • Ability to walk 3 miles a day through casino properties
  • Work shifts / locations vary
  • This position does not have the ability to work remotely.
  • NV gaming card required
