Job Summary

As a Microbiology Technician at Aculabs you will play a key role in performing and monitoring laboratory testing to ensure accurate timely and compliant results in accordance with HIPAA and CLIA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors test analyses and examinations to ensure only acceptable levels of analytic performance are reported.
  • Monitors the status of daily patient testing
  • Perform a variety of routine non-technical duties and assist technical and professional personnel in conducting tests determinations and experiments in clinical laboratories.
  • Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results

Requirements/ Education (Any one of the following will be taken into account)

  • MLT or MT certification (Bachelors in Microbiology/Biology is a plus)
  • MD DO DPM with current license in the State of the laboratorys location.
  • PhD in Clinical Laboratory Science or another medically similar science field.
  • MS in medical technology clinical laboratory science or chemical physical or biological science.
  • BS in medical technology clinical laboratory science or chemical physical or biological science.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
