As aSenior Primary Substation Engineerin our Grid & Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) team youll be at the forefront of innovation working with Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) to optimize grid performance and stability.

How Youll Make an Impact
Lead mechanical design for high-voltage transmission substation projects
Develop station layouts grounding plans and lightning protection systems
Perform mechanical calculations for structural steel illumination and magnetic fields
Create and manage 3D models using Revit and BIM tools
Coordinate with electrical civil and system engineering teams
Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with project specs
Support testing installation and commissioning activities
Engage directly with customers suppliers and subcontractors
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines
Your Background
Bachelors degree in engineering
510 years of experience in mechanical/electrical engineering
Strong knowledge of NEC ANSI/IEEE standards
Experience with FACTS or HV substations
Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Skilled in electro-mechanical calculations and plant design
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
