Cloud Architect
Location: Indianapolis IN / Bratenhal OH
Clearance Required: Secret (Tier 5 / IT-I)
Work Schedule: Full-time
Position Summary
This role designs implements and maintains secure scalable cloud infrastructure for the DFAS IL-5 tenant. The engineer ensures resiliency redundancy and compliance with DoD cybersecurity mandates while enabling mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities
Design and architect IL-5 compliant cloud services.
Implement Infrastructure as Code for automated provisioning.
Support scaling failover and continuity planning.
Troubleshoot cloud services containers and integration layers.
Work with DFAS and CSP staff to ensure secure interoperability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science.
5 years cloud engineering in DoD/IL-5 environments.
Experience with Azure Gov AWS GovCloud or Oracle Cloud.
DoD 8570 IAT III certification (e.g. CASP CE CCNP CISA CISSP (or Associate))
Knowledge of Kubernetes Docker Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications
Azure or AWS Architect certification.
Experience supporting DFAS or DoD financial workloads.
