South Shore Technical High School seeks a part time Cafeteria Worker who enjoys a fast-paced work environment to assist in the preparation and service of meals to students and staff for the 2025-2026 school year which starts on August 27 2025. Qualifications:1. Some cooking skills.2. Ability to follow simple recipes.3. Understanding of portion and cost control sanitation and safety.4. Ability to work with others and perform duties with little or no supervision.5. ServSafe certified preferred; Ability to become certified is required. The District will provide training if needed. Performance Responsibilities:Assist in set-up and preparation of meals such as daily preparation of coffee salads sandwiches and assist cook with meal meals following strict portion control lunch to students and staff in an orderly polite and respectful the cash register. Keep snack items accounted for and orderly on in cleanup of kitchen including steam tables dishes pots and in daily operation of kitchen such as inventory of supplies replenishing stock and storing deliveries including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Receiving and stocking daily truck deliveries. Prepare service area at end of day for next days in professional development and/or certification requirements as other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Cafeteria : Monday - Friday 3.75 hours per day hours to be scheduled by the Food Services Director. This is a part time hourly position covered by the Support Unit Collective Bargaining Agreement. Non-benefits eligible. Reports to the Food Services Director.
