Job Description: Assistant Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at BNL High School
Position Overview:
BNL High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Varsity Girls Soccer Coach to support the development and success of our soccer program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals effective coaching techniques and the ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to plan and implement training sessions strategies and game-day preparationsreports to the Head Soccer Coach and Athletic Director.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting engaging and effective soccer practices focusing on skill development teamwork and fitness.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff to analyze opponent teams and develop game strategies.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to enhance their technical and tactical skills.
- Attend all team practices games and events as required including occasional weekend travel for away games.
- Help maintain a positive inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship respect and discipline.
- Assist in organizing team events fundraisers and community outreach activities.
- Monitor and promote the academic progress and well-being of student-athletes.
- Uphold the schools and districts policies and guidelines for athlete conduct and safety.
- Contribute to equipment management field setup and other logistical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience playing soccer at a competitive level is preferred.
- Coaching experience is an advantage particularly at the high school or club level.
- Strong understanding of soccer rules strategies and coaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions provide feedback and interact with players parents and staff.
- Enthusiastic positive and collaborative approach to coaching and teamwork.
- Ability to inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their full potential on and off the field.
- Commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all players.
- Availability during after-school hours evenings and weekends for practices and games.
Requirements:
- Valid coaching certifications or willingness to obtain required certifications.
- Completion of background checks and other necessary clearances as per school district policy.
- Adherence to all school and district policies and procedures.
