Job Description
Job Title: Director of Youth Ministries Reports to: Associate PastorFLSA Classification: ExemptWeekly Hours: 10-12 (part-time)Salary Range: $18-20/hour Please submit resumes to Lindsay McGuire at SummaryThe Director of Youth Ministries is responsible for facilitating overseeing and advocating for youth their ministries and mission through programs and relationship building with students in grades 6-12 and their families. This is a perfect fit for someone looking for additional hours on evenings weekends and during the Responsibilities Plan and implement programs for youth (6th through 12th) during the school year that include spiritual formation social opportunities and service in weekly and build relationships with students through attending activities and regularly scheduling activities and programming (i.e. Sunday School Speaker Series Christmas Pageant Confirmation)Plan and implement annual mission projects and opportunities to serve and connect with fundraising efforts for mission projects (i.e. Allentown Art Festival Parking Shares).Communicate with the congregation youth their families and the community regarding alongside other Westminster staff by serving on the Christian Education committee leading in worship at least quarterly and attending staff and session meetings as directed by the Pastor and Associate an active member of the Westminster community by attending worship and fellowship alongside the Associate Pastor to ensure smooth transitions between children and youth students after graduating with contact and connection to the YAMs and other adult ministries.
