Learn more at are searching for the best talent for a Senior Scientist Cell Therapy Characterization to be located in Malvern PA.

You will be responsible for:

Leading the development optimization and execution of assays to characterize cytokine secretion in CAR-T drug products

  • Design and implement cell-based functional assays to assess cytokine release profiles including:
    • Potency assays with poly cytokine readouts
    • ELISA
    • Assess specific multiplex cytokine assay platforms (i.e. Luminex MSD Ella)
    • Intracellular Cytokine Staining (ICS) via flow cytometry
  • Correlate cytokine profiles with CAR-T functionality phenotype and efficacy
  • Work collaboratively on a matrix environment supporting and mentoring team members.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to partners.
  • Accurately capturing data in a timely manner including maintenance of detailed records in compliance with applicable cGMP safety and environmental requirements.


Qualifications / Requirements:

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. An advanced degree (Masters PhD) is preferred.


Experience & Skills:

  • At least 6 years of relevant pharmaceutical or industry experience is required with a Bachelors degree. 4 years of experience is required for a Masters Degree and 2 years of with a PhD.
  • Expertise with T cell cell-based bioassays such as in vitro tumor killing cytokine secretion proliferation including assay design and method robustness required.
  • Expertise using specific sandwich ELISA based methods such as MSD
  • Preferred experience with method qualification including knowledge of ICHQ14 and ICHQ2(R2).
  • Preferred experience in conventional flow cytometry
  • Strong analytical problem solving planning and organizational skills is required.
