Project Engineer Wastewater (Fully Remote)
United States Direct-Hire $110000-$140000 (Flexible) 100% Remote
We are seeking a Project Engineer to provide proposal and design support project management assistance and product/process development for innovative wastewater treatment solutions. This individual will be a key contributor to engineering efforts across multiple departments and will support projects from proposals through warranty and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform wastewater process engineering tasks to complete equipment and process designs
- Develop project specifications submittals and related project documentation
- Create plan and detail drawings for equipment on assigned projects
- Assist with project bids cost estimates budgets and field services
- Troubleshoot and monitor the performance of existing equipment installations identifying improvements and solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams sales vendors and customers to devise innovative solutions
- Provide occasional field support during project start-up or product development activities (<10% travel)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and company growth objectives
- Mentor junior staff in preparing calculations plans specifications and cost estimates
- Contribute to internal engineering initiatives such as R&D tool development and process optimization
- Perform other engineering-related tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in wastewater treatment process design (lagoon-based treatment preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); AutoCAD required
- Demonstrated experience in data and document management
- Strong organizational verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to support engineering initiatives from concept through execution
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to analyze and recommend design and fabrication options for wastewater process equipment
- Familiarity with equipment such as PD blowers controls and related process appurtenances
- Team-oriented mindset with a drive for growth and collaboration
