At Acelero Learning Delaware we know that nutrition plays a vital role in supporting childrens growth and school readiness. Were seeking a detail-oriented organized and mission-driven Food Services Coordinator to oversee meal service operations across our centersensuring children receive healthy balanced meals in a safe and caring environment.
What Youll Do
As a Food Services Coordinator you will:
Oversee food service operations across assigned centers ensuring compliance with USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements.
Develop and manage menus that meet nutritional standards and childrens dietary needs.
Monitor food safety sanitation and storage practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Support food service staff with training coaching and technical assistance to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Manage inventory purchasing and vendor relationships to ensure timely supply of healthy ingredients.
Collaborate with center leadership to create a positive mealtime experience for children and families.
Collect and maintain food program records and prepare reports as required.
Who You Are
Were looking for someone who is:
Knowledgeable about nutrition food safety and food service management.
Organized and detail-oriented with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
A supportive coach and mentor for food service staff.
Passionate about ensuring children have access to healthy balanced meals every day.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in Food & Beverage Management plus at least 3-5 years of food services
required.
Experience in food service operations menu planning or nutrition programs required.
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a professional setting required.
Knowledge of CACFP and state/federal nutrition guidelines.
Pass a physical exam and background check.
Valid drivers license or reliable transportation required.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in kitchen/food prep environments.
