Monday-Thursday (7:50 AM - 5:00 PM)
Friday (7:50 AM - 12:00 PM)

Responsibilities
- Escort patient to exam room and confirm first & last name & DOB.
- Obtain and record vital signs.
- Organize patient flow.
- Setup procedure tray instruments and equipment according to instructions.
- Prepare Path/lab specimens route to correct lab directed by patient insurance plan.
- Respond to patient questions in office and on phone as instructed.
- Check to-dos/Nurse line.
- Calibrate clean sterilize and inventory all equipment & instruments according to schedule. Keep appropriate records of maintenance.
- Maintain medication supplies discard out-of-date supplies and keep appropriate records.
- Maintain infection control and make sure supply rooms and cabinets are stocked.
- Ordering sorting restocking and inventory of all supplies.
- Document all medical instructions given to patients thoroughly review wound care with patients when applicable.
- Anesthesia/Inject for procedures.
- Ensure all phone messages faxes and interdepartmental mail are addressed in a timely manner.
- Must maintain HIPAA compliance
- Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
- Able to triage patient problems.
- Be familiar with and compliant OSHA/HIPAA infection control & Blood Borne Pathogen Standards.
- Experience measuring vital signs and preparing patients for appointments.
- Experience administering injections.
- Knowledge of medical terminology CPT and ICD-10 codes.
- Knowledge of office financial policies.
- Basic computer skills and experience in EMR utilization.
- Able to operate standard office equipment (i.e. computer fax copier scanner etc)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to work in an effective cooperative and courteous manner with staff patients and visitors.
- Must be able to travel to satellite offices as needed
- Ability to multi-task prioritize appropriately and work well both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to read understand and follow oral and written instruction.
- Ability to spell sort and file materials correctly alphabetically or numerically.
Licensure/Certifications/Education
Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program Certified Nursing Assistant program or completion of a bachelors degree program in the pre-med or pre-physician assistant track preferred.
- CPR certified preferred.
- 1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant Certified Nursing Assistant or other clinical patient care experience preferred.
- Previous experience in Dermatology is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Moderate amount of talking bending twisting reaching and balancing.
- Use of hands and fingers.
- Talking and listening in person and on the telephone.
- Handling of materials such as paper supplies etc.
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
- Risk of exposure to infectious organisms and the possibility of injury due to chemicals and sharp objects.
