This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager


Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities of Electrical Solutions projects of Marine and Ports. Each day you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.

Work model for the role is: Onsite

  • Acting as a role model in applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects including modelling prototyping simulation and calculations.
  • Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods of electrical solutions engineering (knowledge of MV / LV switchgear protection relays selection & programming using Relion Software tool or equivalent.
  • System engineering over generators transformers motors NER AC/DC UPS Harmonic Filters DC Grid system with Energy Storage System batteries.
  • Exhibiting design authority for engineering deliverables and provides technical support to commissioning and successful deliveries.
  • Collaborating on project installation commissioning and site activities to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are skilled in designing and engineering of Electrical System solutions for marine and or offshore projects.
  • You have around 8 years of experience in medium voltage and low voltage switchgear protection relay generators and transformers motors and other components and solutions.
  • Understanding of electrical power system based on DC Grid ESS Hybrid Full electric based vessel is desired.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of power system analysis & relay coordination using SKM eTAP MATLAB and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of marine systems classification society requirements for power systems is an advantage.
  • You are at ease communicating in English.
