Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to Nephrology patients at UHealth satellite locations and/or UHealth ambulatory medical locations 8-9 half days. He/she will provide outpatient clinical services to those patients who require Nephrology services.
Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:
Maintain outpatient clinic at UHealth satellite locations and/or UHealth ambulatory medical locations
Rotate on inpatient at UHT or JMH proportionate to other providers when needed
Qualifications:
MD Degree and ACGME US Internal Medicine Internship and Residency
Completed 2-year ACGME US Nephrology Fellowship
Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology (or board eligible)
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
Valid DEA licensure
Current ACLS and BLS certification
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Completion of US ACGME 2-year nephrology fellowship
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles procedures and techniques.
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
Close encounters within 72 hours.
