Registered Childrens Home Manager (EBD) 60000 to 65000 Birmingham & Leicester

Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Salary:per year (depending on experience)
Location: Birmingham & Leicester (in-person)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Childrens Home Manager to oversee two Ofsted-registered residential homes in Birmingham and Leicester supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people while ensuring the highest standards of care compliance and staff development.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of two childrens homes (Birmingham & Leicester).
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Childrens Homes Regulations.
  • Lead mentor and support staff teams ensuring professional growth and development.
  • Design and oversee individualised care plans to meet each young persons emotional and developmental needs.
  • Promote safeguarding practices and maintain a safe nurturing and therapeutic environment.
  • Monitor performance through audits incident reviews and continuous improvement measures.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a senior or deputy role within a childrens residential home.
  • Strong background in supporting children with EBD and challenging behaviours.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding law Ofsted standards and Childrens Homes Regulations.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • No sponsorship available applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK (Share Code if applicable).
