Job Summary (.NET Developer State of New York OCFS)
- Design develop and support enhancements for the CONNECTIONS system and related child welfare applications following SACWIS/CCWIS federal regulations.
- Develop both web and client-server applications using technologies Framework 4.0 WPF and WCF.
- Utilize SQL PL/SQL and Oracle (10g) for database development including stored procedures functions and packages.
- Apply MVC MVVM or similar design patterns for application architecture.
- Conduct regression integration and unit testing (using Rhino Mocks) to ensure application quality.
- Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders.
- Set technical direction for the CONNECTIONS application including UI design standards and selection of third-party software.
- Act as a technical lead for integrating legacy systems and implementing new features with WPF and WCF.
- Mentor senior developers on MVVM patterns and the established development framework.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical staff translating software and process details as needed.
- Guide and review technical staff work to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
- Conduct code reviews of WCF WPF components to ensure compliance with CONNECTIONS coding standards.
