Job Summary (Bullet/List Format) Business Intelligence Architect (State of NY)
- Serve as a Business Intelligence Architect for the New York State Department of Health supporting the NY State of Health (NYSoH) marketplace.
- Collaborate with NYSOH program staff vendors and stakeholders to define and document business and technical requirements.
- Lead the development and maintenance of analytic and reporting systems focused on eligibility enrollment and coverage data (not claims data) for Medicaid CHP and Essential Plan programs.
- Design and develop complex reports and dashboards to resolve data discrepancies between NYSOH and other NYS systems (e.g. eMedNY WMS KIDS OTDA).
- Conduct enterprise BI Data Warehouse (DW) assessments including data interrogation and profiling using complex PL/SQL procedures and SQL queries.
- Prepare enterprise BI/DW roadmaps based on assessment outcomes.
- Provide regular status updates and risk/issue mitigation plans to upper management.
- Coordinate and resolve technical design gaps and requirements with business and vendor staff.
- Analyze revise and document flow charts dashboards process models and technical specifications.
- Manage configure and maintain the NYSOH BI environment including installation configuration security access control performance optimization content management and troubleshooting.
- Support the business community with data requests and issue analysis using various reporting and data transformation tools.
- Guide and facilitate requirements gathering meetings and confirm system alignment with business processes and objectives.
