Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comprehend and follow instructions from supervisors and coworkers.
- Inspect and repair all cleaning equipment excluding 8K 10K and 20K pump internals.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
- Safely handle 55-gallon oil drums.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by posted signs written instructions and supervisor directives.
- Perform equipment hookup and breakdown using proper tools and procedures.
- Communicate effectively in English with supervisors and coworkers regarding safety job conduct and product quality control.
- Operate power tools when authorized and qualified in accordance with company rules and work orders.
- Clean work area and equipment after tasks are completed.
- Comply with all applicable company rules regulations policies and procedures.
- Be available to work overtime including nights and weekends as necessary.
Marginal Job Functions
- Use brooms and other cleaning equipment to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform duties with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds standing for up to two hours and sitting for the remainder of the time.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the company.
Equipment and Clothing Used to Perform Job:
- Protective Equipment:Gloves safety shoes safety glasses hearing protection goggles and respiratory protection as required.
- Tools:Assorted long and short-handled tools tool cart and full set of mechanic tools.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of related maintenance experience in a fabrication or industrial environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret measuring devices.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend push pull twist squat crawl lift and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in both high and confined spaces.
- Good manual dexterity for using hand tools.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in environments that may be hot noisy dusty dirty or cold.
- Potential exposure to chemicals and pinching hazards.
This is a shop only opportunity. There is no travel and no per diem.
