Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Portfolio & Value Manager to lead lean portfolio management (LPM) for a strategic enterprise portfolio as part of an ongoing agile transformation. The role requires a collaborative leader and agile champion to implement oversee and continuously improve portfolio governance value stream delivery funding mechanisms and value realization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Scaled Agile (SAFe) LPM practices and proven experience navigating enterprise transformation within complex organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the launch and management of value stream(s) within the enterprise portfolio.
- Govern intake prioritization and decision-making of work to maximize value delivery.
- Manage the portfolio Kanban and ensure appropriate governance decisions (stop/pivot/persevere) to maintain alignment with business priorities.
- Monitor lean budgeting guardrails and oversee funding allocation for portfolio initiatives.
- Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps to provide visibility into planned work.
- Drive portfolio reporting including objectives key results and value metrics.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to support decision-making and align portfolio prioritization with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Agile Coaches to identify gaps advocate improvements and implement best practices in LPM.
- Adjust portfolio strategy and scope as needed in response to evolving business demands.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic goal owners and enterprise initiative owners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business lines stakeholders and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration finance or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education training and experience).
- Significant experience managing complex cross-functional enterprise-level programs.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).
- Strong background in project/program management practices including change management risk management executive reporting and data aggregation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in dynamic environments.
- Experience working effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels and external vendors.
- Advanced skills in conflict resolution negotiation facilitation and consensus building.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for both virtual and in-person audiences.
- Advanced analytical critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated success in launching value streams and implementing enterprise-level LPM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in business finance or a related discipline.
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or Lean Portfolio Management certification.
- Experience with enterprise agile transformation at large financial institutions or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with metrics frameworks such as OKRs value metrics and business outcome measurement.
